(More customer reviews)I've been using one of these straps for several years for carrying a Surdo (a big honkin' heavy Brazilian drum). It's by far the most comfortable option I've found; better than the Remo Slider for me. The stretchy neoprene yoke helps to distribute the weight across your shoulders and absorbs some of the impact of striking the drum, and the 2 straps help hold the drum centered in front of you (more or less).
It's well made. I've used it at least once a week for 3 years and the hardware has held up well. (Just recently the neoprene started to tear near where the strap attaches but it was easily sewn. Like I said, it's a heavy drum!).
If you want to carry your drum to the side rather then in front then this strap might not be for you - the 2 straps are not independent (they're really a single strap sliding on a ring on the back of the yoke) so you can't just tighten one side and loosen the other. The drum will keep wanting to center itself in front of you. For a little bit to the side (in front of one leg) it works fine.
One thing to be aware of - being neoprene, it will absorb sweat and start to smell funky after a while unless you wash it every so often.
