(More customer reviews)This instrument is pretty decent. It has a nice, crisp, sound, and is pretty handy for shakes and 2 different types of scrapes. The only thing that I didn't like is that since they made it to where there is 2 different sides, there is no handle. This causes your hands to cramp after a couple of minutes. Also, since the guiro isn't hollow, it doesn't give it that sound like in bachata or merengue music. This instrument does sound pretty good for its price, and also goes well with some types of cumbias, especially cumbia colombianas and sonideros. If you are more experienced or are going to play in a band, I would recommend upgrading to a more expensive but better guiro.
